Shut down problems are usually connect to driver problems. See if you have the most recent versions of all your drivers, not just the adapter.

Im running Win98se and this happens alot when i shut down (It didnt used to be4 i installed this new Wireless Adapter)

I think something isnt closing properly and thats why it hangs.......Im not sure....I had that issue fixed for 1 1/2 years or so,but when i installed this new adapter its back (Im not complaining,im just glad it works)

I have been having startup and shut down problems, especially if the computer has been left inactive for a day or two. Thanks in advance for any help.
