Speeds in Burnaby, BC (around Canada Way)

I am currently on Telus 1.5 Mbps. But, the lack of upgrades from Telus is quite disappointing. I mean, 1.5 compared to 5, there's really no comparison.

Now I am weighing my options. What I would like to know is how's the service around my area (Burnaby)? Does it fluctuate much, and how bad is the throttling?

The things that are making my stick with telus is their soft cap at 30 GB (which is actually 100), and the fact that there's no throttling on BT. However, a friend of mine told he gets speeds around 400 with Shaw.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I live around the 5000 block of Norfolk (just off of canada way)on the teryon network I get about 2.5mbs on average
during peak hours and overnight close to 4mbps. I recently moved from east vancouver to the area and bt throttling is not a problem at all compared to my former area(espescially with encryption).

Is DOCSIS available in the area, and are any of you guys experiencing throttling?

I just checked, though I am in Victoria, but the system is saying Canada Way is DOCSIS ready, so I assume that the area would also be ready as well.
