Hundreds of modems communicate on the same distribution line all the time, if they couldn't there would have to be a different coax line for every single house to the node!! The only differene between the coax cable in your house and the distribution cable is size, that's it. As to the original question, the only thing you have to be concerned about is the amount of signal available at that one particular outlet. Remember when you split it your essentially cutting the signal by 3.5 db and you generally don't want much less than 0db hitting a modem or you could start running into issues. |
