 [Vonage] Other TAs behind RTP300?

I used to have an RT31P2 adapter from Vonage, but I asked for a replacement adapter after experiencing some voice quality and DHCP issues. They sent me an RTP300, which seems not to work behind any other router. It also doesn't let my Voipstunt and Stanaphone accounts register behind it. Anyone else having the same problem?

I have mine set statically behind a WRT54G v4 and it works great.

I believe your RTP300 has already occupied the port 5060. Try to reconfigure other ATA devices connected behind this RTP300 with other ports, i.e. 5062, and see if that will work.

I have never tried to daisy chain VOIP ATAs, but I am using two Vonage RTP300 routers behind another router with no problems. If your primary router supports uPNP, try enabling it on the primary router and on the RTP300 to see if that will let you use it behind your primary router. If that works, then you should be able to connect your other ATAs to the primary router instead of daisy chaining them behind the RTP300.

I have my WRTP54G connected behind my WRT54GS runs on DD-WRT v23 firmware + VoIP (SIPatH) package. I have uPnP enabled on my WRT54GS; however, this configuration doesn't seem to work for FWD mainly because a WRTP54G (I believe this also applies to an RTP300) doesn't support for a STUN server and/or an Outbound Proxy server options. I wonder how did you make your RTP300 works behind a uPnP NAT/Firewall router.

Since both of my RTP300s are used with Vonage, I don't have any control over the voice config in them, so STUN server and other optional services do not apply for me.

I did nothing special to get the RTP300s to work behind another router except to enable uPNP on both of the RTP300s and the primary router. I have done this behind a TRENDnet, a Zonet, and a ZyXEL router over my Comcast and my Covad gateways.

Actually both RTP300s worked without uPNP enabled except that the first few seconds of incoming calls would sometimes be dropped. Enabling uPNP seemed to take care of that problem.
