 Spyware and Virus issue

Im trying to find what would be the best standalone (not integrated into a larger program) spyware remover and virus detector unless there is one that can do both as effectively as 2 standalnoes could, Free would be best but Ill pay if a have to to have the best of both worlds. Thank you in advance. if this has already been discussed could you point me to the corret link(s) that show the pasts please. I would deeply appreciate it.

Well here's
»[poll] AntiSpyware Poll 2006
and
»[Poll] Antivirus Poll 2005

I use KAV (Kaspersky Antivirus) and it seems to do a pretty good job with both vira and riskware when set up correctly..

I think the best reccomendations for antispyware are gonna be either Spysweeper or Counterspy.. (I don't use either, so this is not a fan thing).. I use Windows Defender and Spybot S&D.. (both are free)

Hi blackdiamond:)

I'm currently embarked apon a course of "Amateur hour" testing>>>
»www.spywarewarrior.com/viewtopic···&start=0

The tests are against a collective pot of 100 assorted malware by various AV's AT's and antispyware softwares.

The first set of results our inline with the malware file being inactive on a Pc but i'm currently entrenched in "live" testing at the moment so there will be more results to follow at a later date

HTH:)
