said by drslash :Somebody has to be able to do things better than these people have been...then again...the better the devil you know! The problem is the territories that Mediacom owns. I think TW would invest a lot less time and money than Mediacom even if they have more resources. This was the problem with TCI and AT&T; as far behind as Mediacom looks, these areas were even farther behind under AT&T. Unfortunately, I think Mediacom's management of their territories is going downhill. I just don't think TW or a similar company would make any real improvements though. One of the biggest problems though with Mediacom is that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. The better a franchise is managed by local government, the better the outcomes they get. While service might become more even, it would probably just become evenly bad. -- ISCABBS - the oldest and largest BBS on the Internet telnet://whip.isca.uiowa.edu Professional Geographer Geographic Information Science researcher |

Mediacom is one of the most inconsistent cable companies I've ever seen -- they're as inconsistent if not more so than Charter. At least they aren't uniformly terrible like some smaller companies (Northland, Cebridge, etc.) are...
