Under this configuration are you able to connect to the DSL modem IP to configure it without connecting it directly to the PC? If so it is preferable. Currently with my router handling the PPPoE, I can't seem to find a way to add a route to connect to the DSL modem 192.168.0.1. My router is default so it is 192.168.1.1. I would be interested to know. Thanks. You change the router's LAN IP from the default IP of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.X.1(X being any number between 2 to 254).Just remember when you change the LAN IP of the router, that will be the IP address you use to access it. |
