 1 edit | PAYG providers who let you set Outbound CID I have found a new provider who allows the setting of outbound CID. First the old ones I knew of:
Voxee Teliax Les.net
The new provider is exgn.net and they go a step further. For one, they allow multiple registrations to the same account. I have my SPA-2000 registered with my main acct, and I also have my Grandstream GPX-2000 registered with a sub-account Now the kicker..... they allow you to set the outbound caller id for EACH acct/sub-acct !!! And each acct gets it's own login credentials that you can set. So depending on the device I call from, the outbound CID will show whatever that device is set to. All from just 1 main exgn account
Edit: From their site......
Exgn is now offering services beyond any other VoIP provider out there!
· e911 Services (The first IAX/SIP Termination provider ever to offer e911!) · e411 Information service · Sub Accounts: connect multiple IAX/SIP Devices or Servers to a single account! · Failover: Use our intricate failover system to dial another one of your connected servers (sub account) or a regular telephone number · Free, Unlimited Voicemail accounts!
I forgot to mention the voicemail accounts |

 | You can set outbound CID on Plainvoip and Voipjet, too. |

 | reply to montano I could not set it with Plainvoip using SIP, and Voipjet does not support SIP For those who use IAX, these are 2 more options for you. -- Comcast ISP/ ViaTalk/ GizmoProject/ iax.cc/ Voxee/ Grandstream GXP 2000/ SPA2000/ PAP2 |

 | Oh - yeah, I've been using them with IAX, not SIP. |

 | reply to montano I have made several calls, both local and long distance, and the call quality is great.
They have email notification of voicemail, but voicemail can only be checked online. They are working on a phone solution I am told.
I am pleased thus far  -- Comcast ISP/ ViaTalk/ GizmoProject/ iax.cc/ Voxee/ Grandstream GXP 2000/ SPA2000/ PAP2 |

 | reply to montano I decided to get a couple DID's today. They were available instantly and were working in minutes.
I am able to have each DID ring to it's own device (no virtual stuff), as well as assign each DID it's own voicemail. And of course I can set the outgoing CID od each device aswell.
I find it great to be able to control multiple devices and multiple DID's from a single account. -- »www.VoIPAsylum.com || Comcast ISP/ ViaTalk/ GizmoProject/ iax.cc/ Voxee/ Grandstream GXP 2000/ SPA2000/ PAP2|| |

Right now, I have to call from my T-Mo cell phone first to tell the other end that the next "Out Of Area" call will be from me and then call from my landline or my Lingo account. |
