| [H/W] 3rd party memory upgrades for 870 series Does anyone have a source for 3rd party memory (both Flash and DRAM) for a Cisco 87x router?
Or, if they have a box with more than the minimal configuration, can they read off (and post!) the markings on the supplemental DRAM and Flash modules?
Thanks!

| Re: [H/W] 3rd party memory upgrades for 870 series The 870 use PC133 SDRAM 168-pin DIMMs and the memory has to be configured in a particular way because most of the standard DIMMs I have tried only show half the memory.
Just as importantly they are a low profile type, standard DIMMs touch the top of the metal shielding. Third party upgrades are starting to appear although they are still pretty expensive considering what they are. On ebay there is somebody advertising 128MB upgrades for $200. My guess is they will get cheaper as more people enter the market. | |

Thanks. | |
