I noticed this morning my connection seemed a little faster, so I ran a speed test and it clocked in 400Kbps down, I foung that very surprising, so I did a test dl and the transfer speed confirmed it was really 400Kbps, and I just ran a test again to see if it stuck around and it still is, and considering I do not qualify for Powerboost anyway, it would not account for it

now I realize 400Kbps is nothing, but I find it interesting to get a "free upgrade", no matter how minor, especially considering that speed tier is no longer officially offered

I am assuming I am benefitting from some upgrade to the network that may or may not have been intentional, lol

Ya, that is not normal. With my 6000/768, I start around 4200KB/sec, drop down within 2-3 seconds to 2500KB/sec and finish around 920KB/sec.

Here in the Chicago NW suburbs, my speeds are back to being capped at 8Mbps (first few seconds in the 20s, then back down). From 12/5/06 to 1/22/07 I was getting 25-26Mbps sustained most of the time, with peaks of 30Mbps (using 9 concurrent connections).
