Hello I am from the west coast in northern California, Being in the area to which others would think that internet speeds would be outstanding well it is not. there's NO FIOS Comcast internet costs me $65 a month for 6mbps down and 350 up and there's nothing else around, in the past few months Comcast has been using bursting method which is OK, but I'm having routing issues Comcast went from a direct routing system to routing users all over the place. I and others in the area I live in have lost our connection or have had serious latency problems also internet phone service is sperratic. Comcast has sent out their Line Tech to check out my cable and has continually found that the issue is with Comcast and not on my end. So I am just waiting on some one else another internet provider to step up and give us in this area another choice until then it SUCKS but I'll deal with it until that moment comes to be. |

The only indication we have of upload Powerboost coming is from an insider tip on the front page of this forum. When it's ready, Comcast will advertise it (heavily) and roll it out. |

i'm really just questioning the validity of the "tip". it says it would start rolling out in february, yet no announcements. i'm not being cynical and i dont really care when it rolls out. |

I wouldn't mind waiting for a stable, working product vs something I could have now that would only work half way or not at all.

| Get this, I am on the 256Kbps tier that Comcast no longer offers, but since I had it with Adelphia I was Grandfathered in
I noticed this morning my connection seemed a little faster, so I ran a speed test and it clocked in 400Kbps down, I foung that very surprising, so I did a test dl and the transfer speed confirmed it was really 400Kbps, and I just ran a test again to see if it stuck around and it still is, and considering I do not qualify for Powerboost anyway, it would not account for it
now I realize 400Kbps is nothing, but I find it interesting to get a "free upgrade", no matter how minor, especially considering that speed tier is no longer officially offered
I am assuming I am benefitting from some upgrade to the network that may or may not have been intentional, lol
