Exploring that shows nameofgame.part01, ....part02, .part03, etc. Exploring the first one of those (.part01) shows a .iso file that is also represented by a stack of books, and described as a winrar archive. At that point I need to extract to see whats in there.

At that point I need to extract to see whats in there. You can extract the contents of a .iso file with winrar, if you don't want to mount it with like daemon tools or alcohol, to see the contents.
