I have been having latency issues over the past few weeks. After this last patch, the latency seems to be better but I always suspected that Warden program had something to do with it. How do you identify it and block it?

| I doubt your latency would have anything to do with "Warden" and blocking it is bound to cause more problems like that than it would solve.
If you have ProcessGuard you would start by checking "protect this application from: reading" for all your running processes and unchecking "authorize this application to: read from protected applications" for WoW.exe. You would have to go through the entire list of applications protected with ProcessGuard and set them appropriately, because those advanced options are not setup by default. Now watch your log as WoW.exe systematically tries to read everything and fills up your log.
I'm sure it will still be able to get the names of all the running processes, but if that's all it did in the first place I guess we all know why there are still hackers who go unpunished for months at a time, right? |
