your router or is your firewall program popping up and minimizing the game? If your router fails because of a simple program like that you need a new router.
Some routers and modems don't handle tons of open and half open connections very well. I've had the blizzard p2p downloader kill my cable modem (it rebooted) when the blizzard downloader opened like 400 outbound connections at once.
