Well yes their is it's called sever lag and all that other crap however I can forgive some of that. However when you install a program on a users PC that makes their PC do something they never agreed with that is wrong and I just won't give money to a company like that.

This does not even effect me I can get the update off file planet however I won't give a a company who does this my money.

Like somebody said. You really don't like WoW and you are just looking for some lame excuse to try to criticize bliz. There is nothing malicious or performance hindering in WoW.

And what do you mean they install a program that does something you never agreed with? Everything in WoW is agreed to. If you don't want to p2p with the patches you can easily disable p2p patching and just do it solo. There is no problem. It's not hard and doesn't require any downloads or anything else.

what the original poster is complaining about is a new downloader that blizz put in that can download small parts of patches in the background unnoticed while playing. And even that can be disabled if you want. But why? it is saving you time by using unneeded bandwidth while you play. It is actually a very good thing.

HMM have you been reading the stores on this issue at all? You don't seem to understand whats going on. The issue with this update is after you close the download window your pc is still uploading info for WOW and it's can't be turned off without deleting files or whatever. That is the issue nobody agreed to be a patch server for WOW.

Also why would I hate on WOW WTF is the point of that?

yes, I have read. It can be shut off. Sometimes not as easily as we would have liked. But it can be shutoff.

and I don't know why you would hate WoW. But that is what it seems like to me. You are completely blowing this all out of proportion. It is not a gamebreaking problem. And you haven't even played, so you have no experience on which to back up your point. I have played and know a lot of other people that play and have no complaints or problems about any of this.

HMM I've played WOW 3 months. Any other crazy claims you want to make that make no damn sense?

Go to the WOW site and read the forums you will see the issues. People were getting booted off-line with no idea why and one guy uploaded 9 gigs and did not know it. If you have a cap 9 gigs is not a joke.

OK so if I've never played WOW why do I have a wow back-round and the WOW icon on my desk top?

I still think you have no idea what your taking about and what the real issue people are having is.

How do you explain your post earlier then?

that means that you are NOT playing. And a few posts by disgruntled kiddies does not mean that there is a major problem. Like I said, you are blowing things that you have never experienced all out of proportion.

and it seems a bit hypocrytical for somebody that uses bittorrent to criticize blizzard for using it.

HMM cause I'm not a WOW fan-boy and where I see BS I call BS.

Of course I'm not playing I just moved. I also get bored with teh game and wanted to take a brake I still say you have no idea what the issue is and what your talking about here.

The issue is not BT it's the fact when I close the download thing and just play WOW as normal your your still uploading data for them. That is the issue.

I also have no control on how many ports it's uses or how much data I will allow it to send like a full BT program gives me.

Damn it what are you not getting here?

so now you admit that you have not experienced this. So you really have no direct knowledge of this issue.

I do know what I am talking about. You do not, you have just read a few posts and then criticized without really knowing if it is a problem. And it is not a problem, you CAN stop this.

No, that is not an issue since you can stop it if you so desire. Like I said, it has not caused any problems for any person I know.

I am not getting why you keep saying this is such a bad problem when it is not. It is plain and simple, if you don't want this program to run, it can be stopped. Saying otherwise is BS, Period.

This is one of the very few LEGITIMATE uses for bittorrent and people don't like it. figures
