Upgrade Question?

My 1 yr contract is about to expire or it expired and my price for this upcoming month was going to be $34 or $35. So I upgraded from 384-1500/128-384 to 1500-3000/384-512 and it stated that my monthly payments would be $29.95. Why is it cheaper to upgrade? I'm okay with paying the 29.95 for the upgrade, but just wondering. Also, I was given an activation date of 4/11/06. So that is when my upgrade will take into effect by itself or do I need to do something? And how does that effect my service from now until then? Thanks in advance....

The renewal rate for the 384-1500 plan is $24.95 per month if you commit to a new one year contract. The month to month rate for that package is $34.95.

You should see your speed in increase on or before the 11th. There will be no change in your service until then.
