| v5 WRT54G's suck... Linksys took a GREAT product and killed it when they came out with the v5 WRT54G.
Most people who have bought the v5 units are unhappy with them.
The best thing you can do is take it back to the store, get your $$ back, and go to Walmart and look for a V4 unit.
If you look around a bit here, there are ways of identifying the different versions of the router. All are good except v5.
