1 edit | reply to LaZ3R The game can consume you, no doubt. I recently had to put a stop on the 2:30 am nights (after playing since 7 pm) because I found I wasn't going to be married any longer, nor could I actually sit on my ass for that long anymore. So ya, it sucks up time, in bunches.
You get ganked (if you go PvP), it's just part of the game. But after a while, you get to grow up big and strong and dish out some revenge, which is what I'm diggin' about the game right now.
But worth it? Yes. Every cent. The graphics are pretty good, but the game is smooth, and the different worlds you encounter--either soloing or via instances, etc--are, at times, mesmerizing. For me, the game removes "real life" around me and I get immersed with the music, ambiance, gameplay. It's a good time, really. -- /golfclap |

| reply to coffaro Yeah I hate that or I hate doing a places like 5 times before I can finish what I'm doing. I also hate doing places over just cause I want something that is at the end. I did that one place in the badlands 3 times trying to get a polearm grimlock drops.
The hell with it I'm sick of that place. I get no XP so it's just takes to much time. He dropped a damn shirt the last 3 times. |

| reply to coffaro HA one time I had all the loot our group got stolen. The leader dude put it on loot master. I had no idea WTF that was and did not pay much mind. After we were done he run off.
It's ok a guild member of his come to help us kill a boss then after we all lift and the guy run off I PM him telling him and he booted the guy out of his guild then give us 10 gold. That was nice of him.
I'm not hardcore into the guild thing but it's handy to be in one. Someone in my guild is going to sell me a epic level 49 mace for 60 gold. If you've seen AH prices on epic anything that is very very cheap. |

Last time I was low level in the group. When every one got what they wanted they just stopped the group and left me. Ever thing around me was a level 18 to 20. I was in the back of some cave. I died like 9 times before I got out of there. That was a fun hour and a half (not). Hour and a half? You could have just rezzed at the spirit healer and saved all that misery...or hearthstoned (it would have been available at some point). Yep Hearthstone back to the Inn for the win. |

| reply to LaZ3R The upper level quests are better than lower level.
True, you kill stuff, but in the upper level quests, it is harder and you kill less things, or just a boss.
I think everyone gets tired of the kill 20 mulocs quests. -- My site " |

| reply to LaZ3R It's not to bad. However I hope you like running back and forth and killing the same thing 900 times. This game really needs a UPS and pest management professional class. Really that is all you do run around and kill same thing over and over.
However the game looks good and does not demand to much of a system. My system is super forking weak if you put it next to real gamers. However the game still looks good and has a nice art style. Also your going to want to hook up with some nice people who can use their damn class right.
Unless you work with nice people the game gets boring very fast cause really you just do the same thing over and over. The first quest you get will be the same type of quest you get at level 50 now your just fighting more powerful stuff.
I'm getting burned out on the game myself I'm not a WOW addict and never will be game has to many issues for me for that to happen.
I'm level 47 and mats take forever to get for my blacksmith skills now and my god AH prices are crazy as of late.
So in closing I say try it you can find the game for $40 and sometimes on sale for $30 and the first month is free. It's worth it just to see what the fuss is about. However big warning your going to be seeing the same places allot doing the same stuff allot and killing the same things allot.
If your not into it by the end of the first month then quit it's just more of the same. Also blizz always is forking something up too. On some servers you better like waiting. I've never had the issue on mine myself. Also make sure you get mods. I just got into them and it's makes the game far far better. If I had to stop using them now I'd just quit the game. |

| reply to LaZ3R The thing about being behind players with epic gear, new high-level instances will always being coming out as well as new gear, so your really never that far behind.
Several runs in new instances or doing the new quests to get the good gear will get you upto speed..... if you have the time to commit.
Been playing since live and due to wife and kids, I have never been in an MC run or Onyxia Raid. Could never commit to the time, but now that my work schedule might be changing, time might be opening up =). I am poorly geared, but didn't stop me from reaching Rank 9 in PVP.
I think WOW is THE best MMORPG out there. They have been steadily adding new content over the year, so its hard to get bored, at least for me - I'm no powergamer though. |

| reply to LaZ3R It's definitely worth it... I just started the game about 3 weeks or so ago and was wondering the same thing. While there are a lot of people already at level 60 with epic gear already there are still a ton of people that are just starting out. And once the exp. pack comes out there will be even more low levels as a bunch of people are going to start with alt chars once again. -- Beware of programmers who carry a screwdriver! |
