Anyone have a problem with the Outlook junkmail filter installing? I keep getting a failed to install message. I have MS Office 2003 on XP Home/SP2. I don't have Outlook installed, but I never had a problem installing updates for it. All the other updates installed with no problems.

If you don't have Outlook installed there is no need for Outlook filter, just disable it when updating. Otherwise with Outlook installed it works just fine.

edit@ did you ever have problems with junk filter installing, despite lack of Outlook, or is this first time?

This is the first time. When I first installed MS Offfice 2003, without Outlook, I went to the MS Office update page and installed all the updates. The Outlook junkmail filter update was one of them. It installed with no problems. I believe this is the first Outlook junkmail filter update I've seen through Windows Update. I may be wrong though. Maybe with Windows Update, or Microsoft Update as it's called now, it won't install an Outlook update unless Outlook is installed in the PC.

I am so thankful there are people willing to risk the boom factor.
