OpenSSH Donation Pledge Drive

First of all, thanks everyone for being patient as we worked through exactly how to do this. Thanks also to justin See Profile for his support both monetarily and through this site.

Lets try to keep this simple. If you wish to donate, please indicate in this thread the amount you wish to pledge. If you wish to pledge anonymously you may do so, simply logout and post in the thread as an anonymous user. This thread will be active for one week, after that you may not be able to get your name and funds attached to our donations.

Questions and comments can be IMed to me or brought to my attention via #atu on Freenode. Connect an IRC client to chat.freenode.net and /join #atu. This thread should otherwise stay clean.

Any amount you can afford is welcome. Thanks again to all who have shown interest and to everyone who pledges!

I'll begin with a pledge of $50.

$10 for me, don't laugh - that's all I can afford on a student loan. Openssh is an Great product and I appreciate all of their hard work. I would feel guilty using it as much as I do & not donating something.

To all the corporations that sell their product with openssh installed: Not donating after earning all that $$$ is just not right - you should not be able to sleep at night.

I already donated $10, and I'll throw in another $25. And I'm linking to this thread in my blog, too. We need some numbers.

I blogged about the cause, too. So now all four of my site's visitors will soon show up and donate millions, if not tens, of dollars.

First day totals (assuming I copied all those numbers right):

$580

With the "matching pledge" from Justin:

$1160

It's not fundraising, it's fun-draising!
