 [Help Me] Corporate Test Network

Greetings:

My company had given me an IP address out of its range to setup my own network. I have the real-world IP address: 66.7.xx.yyy taken from my companies usable IP addresses. I want to configure a DLink DI-604 version E it so that all traffic intended for this IP address is channeled through one of the four (4) ports on the DLiink router and directly to my server... a stand alone SQL server. My readings indicate that the virtual server is to be configured. Although my goal is to direct packets intended for my network I am more concerned about creating a barrier to traffic intended for my companies network. We have a sonicwall firewall and a T-1 connection. Advice sought on configuration and the placement of the router.
