| reply to AlphaOne Re: SB Audigy Platinum owners, please help!
I have the same issue (loose jumper & not JP1).

I too have tried for nearly 2 weeks with Creative to get a valid response. After acknowledging that I needed the FACTORY/DEFAULT jumper locations, they gave me the (lazy tech)run-around. They told me to look at the manual and the knowledge base article on jumpers (manual only describes JP1 and knowledge base article doesn't cover front pannel jumpers for any Audigy products), then told me they couldn't help me (after playing email tag for nearly 2 weeks) because the warranty period is up on the product.
I've searched the knowledge base, discussion forums, Google, etc., etc., and have found nothing on these jumper settings (other than JP1). It's like Creative want's to keep them secret or something. I told them that I don't care what these jumpers do, and could care less about trying to tweak (fry) my card...all I want is the (Factory/Default) settings so my little lost jumper can feel at home once again.
So, in your defense, I too have run into the Tech support wall and internet silence over a simple issue.
Something as simple as a front panel (FACTORY DEFAULT) jumper setting description/illustration really seems to freak Creative Techs out...hmmm....why? Yeah, I could call them and pay them $10-20 with my credit card, but why? I'm sure someone out there has this simple answer for free. If these older front panels were still sold, I might be able to get a good look at one...but unfortunately...they aren't.
Front Panel Model: SB0010 (Circuit Board = SB0010D)
If you find anything...let me know.

| Marvelous!
So ... JP6 do have jumpers. But it's not clear from the pic which of them were jumped.
Your JP10 doesn't look like have any jumpers, and mine does. I think I'm getting old, I might have put the jumper that fell from JP6 to JP10.
If you can please describe which of the pins in JP6 were jumped, it'll really help.
