In my view the most suitable product for your needs would be F-Secure Anti-Virus Small Business Suite -- Remember, I'm pulling for you - we are all in this together... |

| reply to invictive What I want to do is have all of the computers virus protecting by the server. I'm only worried about getting viruses from the internet, I don't need scanning on the individual computers.
I want something that filters all of my internet content before it serves it to the computers on the network. It would be nice if it also filtered spam.
I think Mcafee spam killer would work for email, because it sets up a server that all of the email clients on the different computers could access to download the email once it has been filtered.
I don't know how one would go about active-x filtering and java though. |

| Hey guys, I just recently setup a server on my home network as a file server and I was wondering what else I might be able to do with it.
Is there any anti-virus/malware software that I could run on it, and use it to protect my other computers on the network?
Could I set it up as the central mailserver and have it filter out most of the spam?
What products (if any) should I be looking at?
Thanks,
-Kai |
