| [Other] Lycos Phone & USB headset
I don't know what to do to make Lycos Phone work with my USB headset. I have a few VoIP programs and all of them work with my headset without any problem, but when I use Lycos Phone it doesn't use the headset but rather uses my speakers. Be grateful for help. -- Life in a Jar - The Irena Sendler Project |

| This is what Lycos Phone support team have just sent me:
Dear Customer, Lycos Phone is compatible with all USB devices, but you will not be able to use the dial keys on it. Beside USB devices, we do not support any other type of hand held devices. In a more elaborative way, Lycos Phone is compatible with such type of USB devices which can be plugged in your PC and used for communication instead of a headset with microphone, by dialing your desired destination number from the Lycos Phone dialer interface. Please refer the USB device user manual for correct configuration of the device. We would be glad to assist you for any of your further Lycos Phone queries. What do you think? Did they understand my problem or am I missing something? -- Life in a Jar - The Irena Sendler Project |

Lycos select the Audio (Default to System Only) So choose USB Device Audio for Default Sound. then Restart the lycos phone that may be helpful |

1 edit | reply to Ludwik I don't have a USB phone. So "dial from USB keypad" is not my problem. What I am using is a USB headset (Logitech Premium USB Headset 300: »www.aussiepcshop.com/images/Logi···mium.jpg ).
My problem is that while using Lycos Phone I hear my caller's voice via my PC speakers instead of through my headset. Simply speaking Lycos Phone detects only half of my headset - the microphone. Most other similar programs have so-called audio wizards that enable the user to choose audio settings manually. Lycos Phone doesn't have anything like that. -- Life in a Jar - The Irena Sendler Project |
