Broadband is not the same as internet access

Yes!!!!!!!

Too many miss that little "detail". To the telcos, "broadband" does not equal "internet access". To them, "broadband" is a channel to sell you services like TV. They'll use as little of it for unmetered internet access as they can get away with in the market.

Remember that when AT&T owned their cable business, they called it "AT&T Broadband", even though very little of their bandwidth was used for internet access. To the telcos, "broadband" is not about providing "fat dumb pipe" access to consumers.

You guys are dreaming, think of the price of bandwidth! We will be lucky to see 256kbps up. And everybody will have a 5 gig/mo cap thats not in any documents. And all out-of-provider connections will be throttled down to 50k/s Yay for the future of the internet in america.
