The Speed has nothing to do with CATV "yet" we I mean Verizon is maximizing there broadband to see how well it will work with the video in area like Nyak and Massapiqua Park. Now the computer companies have to up the anti on their processors. |

I've had FiOS since January. I check my speed consistantly (well I used to, I don't do it much anymore), but I have the 15/2 plan, and my speeds here on LI are always between 14.7x and 15.8x, and being in the 14mbps range is rarely, I'm normally around 15.8mbps.
And I check my speeds all the time, this isn't like "off-peak" hours, as where with Optimum Online the speeds constantly changing from 10 (my max was 11mbps) to 5, when your paying for 15. |

| reply to Tzale From what i've read, the stated FiOS speeds are actual speeds for many if not most users, not targeted or max speeds. Check out the speed reports here. And I'm no Verizon fan - I had early Verizon DSL and it absolutely sucked. I'm relating what some very reliable people here have reported about their FiOs speeds. -- Danieli Consulting LLC, Strategy and Branding »kdanieli.com |

| reply to techman01 said by techman01 :I love competition with Cablevision : ) It's not really competition, just a front. Anyone can offer 15mbit service for free or 30mbit service for a premium, but how good is the actual service?
