Since Rogers assigns the DNS servers through the DHCP process and they are known to change and may vary according to the phub you're on.

Rogers don't seem to quite understand that SOME network DNS servers do want the name, not the IP address ... that said, you still have to have the IP address somewhere on your system unless you're doing authoratative lookups. It is not uncommon for spammers to do such authoratative lookups to get the DNS servers to run spamming servers.

Also note that if you're trying to set up an SMTP server of your own, port 25 is blocked to all except the Rogers Yahoo! SMTP mail submission servers.

Still, FYI the 2 servers that are designated for the flfrd phub are ...

24.153.23.66 = [ dns.nk.rnc.net.cable.rogers.com ]
24.153.22.195 = [ dns.ym.rnc.net.cable.rogers.com ]

A person could use the Yahoo! server for relay, and set the relaying client to use port 587. However, I am not familiar with the Rogers AUP/TOS. My ISP AUP/TOS is pretty unusual in allowing operation of a mail server, so take this information as risky business, unless you know for certain that servers are not allowed. No DNS server is necessary for this type of SMTP relay.
