I hope it was clear to everyone that the 45mbs symetrical was to each condo/apartment building and not to each user. So some subset of users(how ever many is in each separate building) SHARE that T3 microwave link. Not that that isn't going to deliver them great service. It just isn't what the headline seems to imply.

The company uses a microwave dish receiver mounted on each building, which can be connected to more traditional Ethernet cabling to route the high-speed Internet service to invididual units

Seems muddy in the article. If you're the only subscriber, it looks like you'll get some nice speed, until they get more subscribers:

I'm here!

But not in one of those "people piles" they are servicing. Most of the complexes they serve have at least 1000 units minimum, perhaps 1500-2000 people.

Also important to know, usually when a complex cuts a deal like that, the cost is usually built into the rent. If you want your own DSL, you wind up paying twice.

I also had a WISP here a few years ago. Good service, 3Mb/3Mb up until another antenna from another provider popped up in the line of sight.

I am not downloading massive mp3's or streaming video, so a low-end DSL $14/Mo. account is what I switched to, and no need to pay a cent more.
