45 Mbps symetrical shared is still good

Cable Modems running on 256QAM downstream see 38.8 Mbps shared. Upstreams running on 16QAM only see 10 Mbps shared. It works because not everyone is constantly uploading/downloading at the same time. 45 Mbps symmetrical is faster than Cable, and even though its shared it should still be faster, unlike Cables asymmetrical architecture.

It isn't even shared by as many people as a cable node, probably only a fraction of the number. If they let you use the full pipe then at night you could probably get the full speeds.

Though remember that you can download at 45 someone has to be able to send you the data at the same speed to get full results. The backbone isnt there yet you still wont see those speeds, but it is still a good deal.
