|  reliable host with realtime cc processing or mail in paymen?
I need a host that is reliable AND I can pay monthly in real time - i.e. i receive a bill, I go to the payment site, enter my cc details, and the payment is authorized IMMEDIATELY ##### NOT ##### batched for later processing.....
This is because I have a card that I go in, and turn on - make my charges, and then turn the card off so that no further charges can be made......
Both 1and1.com and surpasshosting.com do NOT offer this ability, their payments appear to be batched. Further, surpass seems to have no phone support.
However, my first website is on PAIR.COM which offers mail in payment, real time processing, AND phone support... however, I cannot host my 2nd website on pair, because my second website is for if pair goes down.

I'm not sure any hosts do what you want. Most batches are run overnight. So you would have to leave your card open until you see the charge - as much as 24 hours. If you missed a payment for some reason I'll bet you would be off the air.
Perhaps if you paid a year in advance?
If you are so paranoid about your on line purchases, perhaps you should be using a throwaway cash card.

SurpassHosting accepts PayPal. And with PayPal you can check daily to see what has been charged.

Hi greg, thank-you for your response.... actually if I found someone like pair, that would be great, because they do offer realtime cc processing / mail in payments, they will even send you paper bills in the mail if you want! |

Hi Greg,
I ended up staying at surpass hosting for the time being..... they cancelled my bill, and had me do a new order (realtime processing) and then send them the order number so my site will stay up
