For a company that has it's primary products built around multitasking this always seemd like a strange weakness for the 360 to have. Glad to see they are addressing it at last.

| I agree, this limitation has actually made me change my mind about downloading things many times. Great to see they'll finally be adding this feature, although IMO it should have been in there from the beginning.
Checking out all the E3 downloads will be interesting. The HD content in particular will be fun to look at.

I'm not sure MS has come out and stated that they were addressing this issue with this maintenance event. I do believe that this update will occur during the next couple of weeks. |

There was no upgrade made to the 360 dashboard. Only to Xbox.com so you can now send and receive messages from the website. |

took the update to my 360, downloading hasn't changed, you still have to watch the download status |

That's a bug in the progress bar. It erroneously adds 50 to whatever number you had before (if it was less than 50%).
Just try it. Cancel a download when it's at 1%, and the next time the Dashboard will make it jump immediately to 51%.
