No, the draft standard was up for a vote to move it to next level and it didn't pass. Thats what the news thing above says, RTFA. Hint: Check out the timeline on the 802.11g standard At this point we are at today, it took 1 more year to get the final standard.
So, expect to wait a year from now to be able to buy 802.11n standardized stuff. Until then, you are playing russian roulette. Its highly unlikely that any pre-N stuff you buy will work completly with the final standard, and its even more unlikly that you will be able to upgrade it. So if you dont mind replacing equipment in a year, go ahead. |
