I disagree with you and agree with Ross. Globalization has everything to do with business ineraction and (currently) nothing to do with residential services.
If these big companies are so "globally" inclined then they should stick to their business which is... business, not residential.
Where do you see Euro companies invading US internet markets??? I don't know about you, but it would cost me a pretty penny to have Bulldog run lines to my house. Typically, most areas may not even have any or much competition (maybe one DSL and one Cable?).
