The problem appears to be that Insight no longer accepts the "Sender Address" that Yahoo uses. Yahoo uses a lengthy address that looks like:
sentto-1234567-1234-1234567890-emailaddress=mailserver.com@returns.groups.yahoo.com
I've genericized everything aboved, and the emailaddress=mailserver.com is your email address with the "@" replaced by a "=". It's the equals sign that Insight's having a problem with. I started bouncing my Yahoo email through another server that allows to edit the sendmail queue files -- all I have to do is change the "=" to a "-", and then Insight will deliver it.
By the way, the error that Insight is returning is:
451 Temporary recipient validation error
You wonder if they test this stuff. -- Jeff |

join:2004-01-06 Bloomington, IN | I am of the opinion that they barely tested and only tested for a few limited instances, not things like these Yahoo messages, or even sending out messages with non insightbb.com email addresses. |
