Thats not there 10mbps would be...it would be higher.
Look at the space between 3mbps and 5mbps. Thats 2Mbits difference. Look where yours is? That wouldnt be where 10mbps is. |

If you receive the new speeds in those tests then... wow. I'll wonder if they'll change the cap. |

dslreports.com speed test result on 2006-05-08 22:56:10 EST: 5488 / 771 Your download speed : 5488 kbps or 686 KB/sec. That is 54.1% better than an average user on rogers.com
Your upload speed : 771 kbps or 96.4 KB/sec. That is 35.7% better than an average user on rogers.com
So, I don't know should we trust the Rogers Test. I may get 10 Mbps from my house to their server in downtown; but not outside of their network. May be it is their first step of upgrading their network. I hope. |

That wouldnt be where 10mbps is. And look at the space between 800kbps and 3 meg. The speeds seem to increase exponentially the farther the the right you go. |

| No, Rogers is NOT fake ... The Rogers test is simply from you over Rogers internal network to the speedtest server. It doesn't get out past Rogers. The speakeasy test you tried is actually out on the public internet and is subject to any and all delays on the path between you and the server.
So, in essence, the Rogers test checks out the speed of YOUR connection, where the speakeasy test checks the speed between you and the particular speakeasy server. |

It is on a server located in Aurora, Ontario (Aurora Cable Internet). Their network is connected to the Rogers network directly, so you should get your MAXIMUM speeds, I use that site for testing my speeds all the time, it is the most effecient.
Also, for the SpeakEasy test, make sure you select Chicago. |
