Kaspersky pricing

Why when I connect my laptop from home does kaspersky.com tell me that the Personal Security Suite is $79.95, but when I connect from a business location it tells me that the same software is $49.95???

Re: Kaspersky pricing

I was more curious if anyone here has seen the same thing, and to raise awareness.

Needless to say, I didn't pay $79.95!

I just checked from my home computer.
For the Suite it's showing 49.99 with out cd for 1 year and 20.00 more for 2 years.
Same as I paid last Oct.

Maybe the 79.99 is for 2 yrs. with the cd which is 10.00 more.

If I use that link to the Estore I get the $49.95 price, but if I click back to "Products" it comes up as $79.95. Clicking the "Buy Online" button it seems very willing to charge me the $80.

Re: Kaspersky pricing

It's because you don't have the country selected yet if you use products link, if you use eStore you're required to select your country first.

Re: Kaspersky pricing

Doesn't make a difference. I can select the country and it still shows $79.95 in products. And it will take my $80...I went through the "Buy Online" process right up to the final confirmation screen and it was willing to charge me $80 even after selecting my location. And going from Estore back to products it reverts to $79.95.

I can use a different computer from a different network or the same computer on a different network and it shows properly as $49.95 without making any country selection. I'm beginning to think Kaspersky has something out for Earthlink IP addresses.

Notice from Dadkins' screenshot that the "offer" is for USA and Canada only (also note the 'usa' in the domain).

If I go to the Kaspersky site (the 'www' site), the link is actually as follows:

Even if the "-usa" is removed and the page reloaded, both addresses show the lower pricing schedule ($49.95 / 1yr).

So ... I tried it with TOR, assuming that the exit node may be outside the USA (or otherwise couldn't be determined), and the page URL was as follows (note the "-usa" as shown above is missing from the URL):

and the page that is displayed reflects the higher pricing (79.95 / 1yr. & 127.90/ 2yrs.)

It's all about where you live (or where Kaspersky's servers think you live).
