File attachment size limit on Ameritech.net (SBC/ATT) email?

If the receiver that I'm sending to doesn't have a limit on attachment it can receive, what limit does my Ameritech/SBC/ATT email account have?

(Sending Crashlogs)

I expect this varies, depending on whether you are sending the mail through an SBC smtp server, a yahoo smtp server, or the yahoo webmail interface.

Sorry, I don't know the answer for any of these.

You can send all types of files as attachments, including word processor or spreadsheet documents, audio files, image files (.bmp, .jpg., .gif, etc.), web pages saved as HTML files, and more. Currently, SBC Yahoo! subscribers can send messages containing up to 50 attachments. The total message size (message + attachments) can be up to 20MB in size.

Just remember that your recipient may not have a connection as fast as yours, and may not appreciate having his email bogged down with a mammoth attachment.

If you must send a Word document or a spreadsheet, zip it. Instead of sending a web page, send a link. For multimedia files, consider a free service such as (for example) »www.yousendit.com .
