to hell with incentivizing the cablecos - just pass a law to make them do it.

Although I think the real issue is the way programming is sold and carriage requirement rules. The crappy channels (eg,the nose lint channel) are forced onto carriers as a condition for getting the good channels and sports carriage costs are high.

join:2005-03-26		 Why does this news posting say that McCain "fell off the bandwagon"? I think he's been consistently in favor of a la carte. Simply because the FCC put out a report doesn't mean that McCain changed his position.
