Re: How come my 12" PowerBook's fan is always on?

Lower left would probably be the hard drive, the fan is generally in the rear center.

Do you mean which model has the lowest temperature when idle?

If so then it would probably be the model with the lowest clock speed processor as the heat sinks are probably similar due to the similar sizes of the cases.

Or do you mean which one turns on the fan the least?

Again that would probably be the lowest clock speed processor.

Of course again that can vary widely depending on software installed and what it is doing, room temperature, age of the computer. It can also vary from one CPU to the next even if they are identical models.

What is it about the heat and fans that concerns you?

What are the processor speeds in the 12.1" PowerBook in economy, normal and high modes? A 1.5 model.
