Ok so does this work where I can access his computer any time it is on without any input from him? Because lets just say its hard to instruct him to do anything on a computer because he is not the most computer literate person in the world lol. |

| Yes. With Real VNC, during install leave the options from making that pc(his) be the server and let it run as a service. It will always be running. You can then password protect it so that nobody but you can take control of the machine. You can take over his machine whenever you want. He could be surfing and you could move the mouse on him and freak him out.  |

O and 1 more thing Real VNC can I control it over a LAN instead of going through the internet? |

Yes, with any VNC product, you just specify the internal host (computer name) or ip address of the computer you are attempting to access, and it will go through your LAN rather than the Internet.
