Not sure if this will fix your problem, but if you go into Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types, scroll down and look for ITPC on the left hand side under extensions. It should say Opens With: iTunes down at the bottom of the window under Details for "ITPC" extension... If it doesn't, you could add it yourself or uninstall/reinstall iTunes, which should fix it. If that's not the problem, it's probably a security setting in IE that's causing the popup to always save the link instead of opening it...

Thanks. I have to go to work now, but will try as you suggested when I get home.

The ITPC states open with iTunes. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. Still getting the same results. I took a look at my IE settings and dont see what in there would be causing this. IE must be the culprit because when Firefox is set as the default browser the links work. Any ideas?

Don't use I.E.? (Sorry, couldn't control myself!)

Try setting IE as the default browser:

Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Programs > reset web Settings > then select "Yes" to reset web settings to original Internet Explorer defaults (you can clear the box to reset home page) > OK

Restart the computer and see if the problem still exists.

Try deleting all Temporary Internet Files including all offline content.

Also, does the same problem exist in another user account (create one if necessary)?

Issue resolved. Last night I inserted my XP SP2 update disc and reinstalled it with the hope that if it was an IE problem that would fix it. I didnt see any results. Then just a few minutes ago I tried clicking on a link for a podcast once more and what do ya know. It worked. Itunes launched. I dont know what fixed it but it seems fixed now. I appreciate all the help here.
