AOL made a billing error. Being a former employee, usage is capped at $35 a month if you go over your limited dial up or broadband USING THE AOL SOFTWARE method.
$4.95 still allows you to go to the AOL website and check email and do whatever you want without incurring charges.
This was a billing error on AOL's part. The guy was dumb enough to not listen to the disclosure given that does state YOU GET 3 ONLINE HOURS WITH THE AOL SOFTWARE PER MONTH. That isn't AOL's fault. That's the guy's fault.
AOL's fault is charging that high of a bill instead of capping it at $35. |
