Any idea when it's being deployed in the Chattanooga area? I've searched this site and Google and found nothing. The online techs don't know, either.
How is Comcast alerting customers when it's available and they should reboot their modems? |

Ok so I was too lazy to chck everything out, I decided to bypass my router and hook it (sb5120) direct to my laptop, 20.5Mbps on Speakeasy and another somewhat local place. I guess my router is a POS, and I will have to get a new one. |

Pretty much looks like a network capacity issue to me. Think I'm starting to realize that the extra $10 isn't buying me much.

Well we know that the Washington & Oregon market has PowerBoost deployed.
Those on the 8 meg tier that are not seeing large increases in download speeds like 20 to 25 meg should probably call comcast to see if they can fixes it.
The last test i ran from the speakeasy site was over 15 meg's,that was the best i could do when i had the 8 meg tier. |

I cancelled The 8 meg plan,but i still don't see the Powerboost in this test.

Upload Speed: 350 kbps (43.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

If your running this test from Seattle,be sure to use S.F. or L.A.

I have the 8 Meg tier and very very rarely see speeds in the 15 -16 Meg range, and that's usually only in the early AM. It's almost always around 10 - 11 Meg, as TD posted. |

Yeah I have 8 Mbps and I am not getting PowerBoost, my buddy a couple miles away has 6meg and the same modem and router and he is getting PowerBoost up to 18meg. All new 6meg installs I have done the past couple weeks all have had Powerboost. |

I have reset the modems and tested speeds on 4 family and friends who are on the 6 meg down tier and their speeds for most part have doubled on speakeasy and downloads from Microsoft for about the first 30 seconds or so then drops back to normal.

I received my Comcast bill yesterday and it said the Seattle area has Powerboost now.
It's not very noticeable if we do have it. |

Ok, not slow this time. It bursted at the vfery beginning to just like 4200 or so and then went to like 1.5mB/sec for a little bit then right away normal after that. It was at 4200kB or so only for a couple seconds though and then went to 1.5mB/sec for a tiny bit.
If this is powerboost it sucks. |
