It makes me wonder how much longer users will stay in the dark before they wake up to an alternative operating system? Users will continue to stay in the dark until the "alternative operating systems" become much more user friendly. As much as *nix users wanna tout how easy the new distros are to use, to the average computer user out there they are still very difficult. *nix distros will continue to be the realm of "geeks/nerds" for a long while IMHO. -- Mater artium necessitas. I've got a 20" imac core duo that I've had for a few weeks. Best machine I've ever owned. I HAVE WINDOWS INSTALLED TOO. But, I don't use Windows much. I don't have much use except for a few pesky apps. There's a lot of FUD out there on OS X security. Having Dvorak diseminate some of it doesn't help much.
Sorry John, but you need to be more objective. | |
