| reply to johnnyboyct I wrote that more than a year ago, and it was popular then, but I guess it's had a bit of renewed interest. That's been my most popular article for a long time, followed by the consultant one (it's #2 when you google for "Consultant").
But reading digg it was nice to see that I'm a security wannabe:said by a commenter :
Terrible Article... IF you want to learn hacking goto any good site... not some stupid security wannabe.

| reply to johnnyboyct Hey, don't y'all be givin' Steve ANY reason to inflate his already huge ego. He might write nice articles, but we don't need to let him know.
Anyway, it's obvious the graphics made it what it is.
Congrats, Steve. It is well deserved recognition. |

| reply to johnnyboyct I remember reading his good article about SQL Injection back when he wrote it. What caught my eye this visit was the wonderful graphic. The text is nice, but the graphic really makes the page interesting!
I noticed your signature in it. Good job, Mospaw .
Steve 's article is well worth the re-read refresher. Read it again. -- "Be sure to work 8 hours and sleep 8 hours, but not the same 8 hours!" |

| reply to Steve said by Steve :That's been my most popular article for a long time, followed by the consultant one (it's #2 when you google for "Consultant"). I enjoyed the consultant article as well. As someone who sells my own software I found myself nodding my head at a lot of what you wrote.
I particularly enjoyed the part about the amount you charge being in direct relationship with your workload.
I have that same problem. If I release a popular piece of software, I can get bogged down in support and sales questions seriously stepping on my development time. I end up charging more so as to get less customers for the same (or sometimes more) money.
Good job! -- Write Your News, Find Your News At PingPost.com |
