I particularly enjoyed the part about the amount you charge being in direct relationship with your workload.
I have that same problem. If I release a popular piece of software, I can get bogged down in support and sales questions seriously stepping on my development time. I end up charging more so as to get less customers for the same (or sometimes more) money.
