Phoenix, AZ		 I hope your prediction is right. I want my 11 years, I had with verizon back (took buyout when we reloacted to AZ) + my 3 years with qwest and I will be happy.

I don't think so. Verizon is trying to unload the rural areas, New England and some mid-west states. Verizon dumped Hawaii last year. Verizon is going for the high profit densely populated affluent areas. ;-p

The public demanded the Bell System be broken up and now they have it.

The only thing I can possibly see it the government getting involved and declaring a national broadband FIOS is a national security issue. Then all of the former Bell Companies, Bell Labs, Lucent, Avia and Western Electric will be brought together under one holding company. Now what could the name of that holding company be. I KNOW AT&T and associated companies.
