said by Sofa King8 :I can get these old games for free so why should I pay? Perhaps because you getting the games for free is illegal... The emulators are not illegal- the roms are. I'm not judging you, just stating that being able to play legally, on the TV, with a nintendo controller maybe is a better gaming experience. |

| Illegal, probably, but legality is not related to morality. Most people who want to play the old games want to play the old games because they played the old games.
Most people who played the old games played the old games because they owned the old games because they paid for the old games. |

I still have about 50-some original NES carts in a box. I bought them all for "full" price, back in the day. Legally.
Tell me I don't have a right to play them on an emulator now, and that it's illegal. I bought them *once*, they happily took my money then, amd I ain't buying them again just because the original console was poorly-made and had a relatively-short lifespan. |

| I don't see how the console was poorly made it is 21 years old and I got mine on the first christmas it was out and guess what it still works flawlessly to this date and is still hooked up and played. I think alot of the problems it had was bad tempered little kids that got hold of it and everytime teh game did not fall over to them to be beaten in a heartbeat it was thrown kicked yelled at hit and what ever thier little tempers could muster up. Hot at all saying this is why yours broke but I had a friend that would trash a console in aa matter of weeks to funny |

YOU do, aren't people that own the actual games allowed to have the roms? Isn't it legal for "backup purposes only"? So yeah..but for everyone else who doesn't (including me)... it's illegal -- 43 things |
