Those aren't bees. They are wasps which are far nastier than a bee. It looks to me as if you've discovered a nest. I don't think that you want to get too close to that nor anyone close to you. I would call someone and have it taken care of. It's just not the kind of thing I would want near me.
Aside from that, it's a very good shot, especially for never having taken a photo before. It looks as if you've got a good eye.
