I agree, you think a fortune 500 company is bad at running things. Wait until a government intity runs the show into the ground. "DMV"....the list goes on. |

|  The DMV here in IL is awesome - when I recently had to replace my driver's license I stopped by my local Secretary of State's office (same as DMV here in IL) - and in less than 10 minutes I had a new driver's license.
The customer service there was nothing short of awesome, very professional curteous and efficient! If only the telco's and cable co's were run 10% that well I'd feel like I was in heaven!
I'd vote for govt eminent domain of local wire infrastructure - if any of you did your homework you'd find that most of the investment in building the current wire plant came from either 1) direct govt grants over the years 2) monopoly guarantees prior to '96. Do the math folks - you payed for these networks - but corporate fat cats now want to keep milking them for as much profit as possible. |
